FAMILY
Once Pam and I had become more than just friends we needed our sons and daughter to accept what had happened over such a short period of time. A blended family occasionally can be what eventually destroys a new relationship where their parents have gotten to be more than just friends.
My parents stayed together for 54 years but Pam had experienced divorce by her parents and in her own marriage. After a year or two of our expanding courtship and living together we talked of marriage on and off for months and months.
The deciding factor of out taking the risk was the total support we were experiencing from our blended family:Brett, Greg, John, Casey, Mark and Michael. And I can’t leave out our only surviving parent back in 1986, Irv Hamilton Sr. Irrelevant that he was the only Republican in the family, he and Pam had a wonderful relationship up to the day he passed away in 1996.
The total all-out support of our children has been expanded throughout the years with their spouses and children and being Granno and Grandmama filled Pam with JOY and happiness.
Thank you Family, you are the best.
